CHEMICAL PEELS
The number one benefit of a chemical peel is its
effectiveness at removing dead skin cells and
yielding skin that is smoother in texture, with more
even pigmentation. Peels also cause new collagen to
be produced leading to a firmer skin and eventually,
a visible reduction in wrinkle depth, length and
number.
Chemical peels help improve many skin conditions,
such as acne, melasma, uneven skin texture, brown
spots, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkling. Medical
Aesthetics uses superficial and medium depth peels
on the face, neck, back, chest and hands based on an
extensive skin consultation to determine the best
peeling agent and schedule to use. We have special
peel formulations that are effective in focusing in
on your particular problem.
Peels should be used in a series, sometimes in
combination with medical microdermabrasion and
prescription medications for the most benefit.
Recovery time can range from a few hours to a few
days depending on the type of peel used, strength of
solution, and patient needs.
MEDICAL MICRODERMABRASION
Medical Aesthetics uses this treatment for improving
skin texture, unblocking pores, removing excess oil,
and reducing wrinkles by exfoliating the skin with
crushed crystals. It is a powerful and effective
treatment used in conjunction with a home care
regimen, and office procedures.
